One practice for the whole family, ages 2 and up

Most Las Vegas and Henderson families end up splitting their care: one office for the parents, another for the kids, and two sets of phone numbers, portals, and waiting rooms. With Elise Erwin, APRN-BC, FNP on our team, families can keep it in one place. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, which means her training covers children, teens, and adults, and she is now accepting patients age 2 and older.

You get the same things that make our adult primary care work: unhurried visits, a provider who remembers your family between appointments, and published self-pay prices so you know the cost before you walk in.

Children's sick visits in Las Vegas

When your child wakes up with a fever or an earache, you want to be seen by someone who knows them, not by whoever is on shift at an urgent care off the highway. Call or text us early in the day and we will offer the earliest appropriate opening.

  • Fevers, colds, flu, COVID, and sore throats with rapid strep testing
  • Ear infections, pink eye, and sinus infections
  • Cough, croup-type illness, and asthma flares
  • Rashes, skin infections, and allergic reactions
  • Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
  • Minor cuts, sprains, and scrapes

For anything emergent, including trouble breathing, a seizure, a serious head injury, or a fever in a child who cannot be roused, call 911 or go straight to the emergency room.

Well-child checkups

A well-child visit is the appointment where nothing is wrong, and that is exactly the point. We check growth and development, blood pressure, vision and hearing concerns, nutrition, sleep, screen time, activity, and mood, and we give you time to ask the questions you have been saving up. For older children and teens, we also talk through the things they may not want to raise in front of anyone else.

We do not stock childhood vaccines at this time. If your child is due for immunizations, we will tell you exactly what is needed and where to get it, and we will still complete the rest of the visit and any forms you brought.

School and sports physicals in Las Vegas and Henderson

Clark County school forms and Nevada sports participation forms have a way of showing up the week before the deadline. We complete school entry physicals and athletic clearance exams for children and teens age 2 and up, and we sign the paperwork at the visit so you are not waiting on a callback.

  • School entry and annual school physicals
  • Sports and athletic participation clearance
  • Camp, daycare, and activity forms
  • Heart, lung, joint, and injury history review

Bring the form your school or league requires. Without insurance, a sports or school physical falls under our $99 new patient or $49 follow-up rate, with no surprise add-on.

What we do not provide

We want to be straight with you rather than have you find out at the front desk. We do not see newborns or infants under age 2, we do not stock childhood immunizations, and we are not an after-hours pediatric urgent care. For those needs, a pediatric practice or urgent care is the better fit, and we are happy to tell you that on the phone before you book.

Frequently asked questions about children's care

What ages do you see at your Las Vegas office?

Elise Erwin, APRN-BC, FNP sees children age 2 and older, as well as teenagers and adults. We do not provide newborn or infant care at this time. Families in Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, and Green Valley are welcome.

Can my child and I be seen by the same provider?

Yes. That is one of the advantages of a family nurse practitioner. Parents and children age 2 and up can both be established with Elise, so your family's primary care lives in one place instead of two.

How much does a child's visit cost without insurance?

The same transparent self-pay rates we publish for adults: $99 for a new patient visit and $49 for a follow-up. There is no separate pediatric surcharge. See our pricing page for the full list.

Do you do school and sports physicals in Las Vegas and Henderson?

Yes. We complete school entry physicals and Nevada sports participation forms for children and teens age 2 and older. Bring any forms your school or league requires and we will complete them at the visit.

Do you give childhood immunizations?

We do not stock childhood vaccines at this time. If your child is due for immunizations, we will tell you what is needed and where to get it, and we can still complete the rest of the well-child visit or physical form.

Can my child be seen the same week?

Usually yes. Call or text (725) 322-2710 as early in the day as possible for a sick visit and we will offer the earliest appropriate opening at our Las Vegas office.
