Medical Weight Loss & GLP-1 Providers in Las Vegas, NV
Medical weight loss with provider-prescribed GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound), run by a board-certified primary care practice, not a cash-only med spa. Now in-network with Medicare, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare; transparent cash-pay visits for plans still in credentialing.

A real weight loss clinic in Las Vegas, not a med spa
Most "weight loss clinics" in Las Vegas are cash-only med spas that hand out GLP-1 medications with minimal medical oversight. Henderson Primary Care is different. We are a board-certified family medicine practice that runs a medical weight loss program, your labs are tracked, your other medications are coordinated, and a real provider is monitoring you the whole way.
GLP-1 medications we prescribe in Las Vegas
- Semaglutide, Ozempic (diabetes) and Wegovy (weight loss)
- Tirzepatide, Mounjaro (diabetes) and Zepbound (weight loss)
- Liraglutide, Saxenda (weight loss)
- Plus non-GLP-1 options: metformin, naltrexone/bupropion (Contrave), phentermine, and topiramate combinations when GLP-1s aren't the right fit
Medication options depend on your health history, clinical eligibility, and current availability. We explain the source, expected benefits, risks, and alternatives before treatment begins.
How payment works
We are now in-network with Medicare, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare. For plans still in credentialing, office visits are offered on a transparent cash-pay basis at our published rates. See the pricing page. The GLP-1 medication itself is filled at your pharmacy and is often partly or fully covered by your prescription drug benefit:
- Commercial pharmacy plans: Often cover GLP-1s for weight loss when BMI ≥ 30 (or ≥ 27 with a comorbidity). Prior authorization is usually required, we are happy to submit it for you.
- Medicare Part D: Generally covers GLP-1s for type 2 diabetes (Ozempic, Mounjaro). Coverage for weight loss alone (Wegovy, Zepbound) remains limited.
- Nevada Medicaid plans: Coverage for weight-loss GLP-1s is limited; diabetes coverage is broader. Plan rules change frequently, please call to discuss.
- Cash pay: Manufacturer savings programs (Wegovy, Zepbound) and pharmacy discount programs can bring monthly cost down to roughly $300–600 when insurance does not cover.
What your first Las Vegas visit looks like
- 60-minute new-patient visit at our Sunset & Fort Apache office
- Full medical history and weight history
- Comprehensive labs: A1c, lipid panel, comprehensive metabolic panel, TSH, kidney function
- BMI, body composition, blood pressure
- Written treatment plan with realistic goals (typically 12–22% body weight loss on GLP-1s over 12–18 months)
- Prior-authorization guidance when a GLP-1 is appropriate
Monthly follow-ups, in person or telehealth
GLP-1 dosing is titrated up over months, not started at the target dose. We see you monthly during the titration phase to monitor side effects (nausea, constipation), check kidney function, and adjust dosing. Most follow-ups can be done by telehealth , useful if you work on the Strip, in healthcare, or anywhere your schedule doesn't bend for a clinic visit.
Las Vegas neighborhoods we serve for weight loss

Our office is one minute off the 215 Beltway at Sunset and Fort Apache.
What weight loss in Las Vegas looks like long-term
GLP-1 medications work as long as you're on them. The honest conversation we have with every patient: most people who stop GLP-1s regain a significant portion of the weight within 12 months. That's why we treat weight loss as a chronic-care relationship, not a 90-day program, and why being run inside a primary care practice (rather than a med spa) matters. Your weight-loss provider is the same person managing your diabetes, blood pressure, and overall preventive care.
Frequently asked questions
Do you prescribe Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or Zepbound in Las Vegas?
Yes. We prescribe FDA-approved GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 medications, Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound, when clinically appropriate. We handle the prior-authorization paperwork in-house and monitor labs, kidney function, and side effects on a structured schedule.
Is this a weight loss clinic or a real medical practice?
We are a board-certified primary care practice that runs a medical weight management program, not a cash-only med spa. That means in-house labs, ongoing primary care oversight of every medication, and transparent cash-pay pricing for plans still in credentialing (we're now in-network with Medicare, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare).
Will my insurance cover weight loss medication in Las Vegas?
We are now in-network with Medicare, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare and are actively credentialing with other commercial plans. For plans still in progress we cannot bill your insurance for office visits yet. Many commercial plans will still cover the GLP-1 medication itself when criteria are met (BMI thresholds, comorbidities, prior weight-loss attempts), filled at your pharmacy with our prescription. We are happy to start a prior authorization on your behalf and walk through manufacturer savings programs (Wegovy, Zepbound) when applicable.
What does a first weight loss visit in Las Vegas look like?
A 60-minute consultation: medical history, weight history, prior attempts, current medications, full lab work-up (A1c, thyroid, lipids, kidney, liver), realistic goal setting, and a written plan. If a GLP-1 is appropriate, we explain the prior-authorization process and next steps.
How much weight should I expect to lose on a GLP-1?
Clinical trials show average loss of 12–22% of body weight on semaglutide (Wegovy) or tirzepatide (Zepbound) over 12–18 months when combined with lifestyle changes. Results vary based on dose, adherence, and individual response, we set realistic expectations at your first visit.
Do you offer telehealth weight loss visits in Las Vegas?
Yes. After your initial in-person visit and lab work, most monthly follow-ups can be done by telehealth, useful for the hospitality, healthcare, and tech workers across the Las Vegas valley.
